Lockdown Update

Firstly, I hope you, your friends and whanau are all safe and well during this difficult time.

I wanted to update you ahead of when we are advised we are moving down the levels. Hopefully we will again able to work in Level 3 as we did last year, following our Safe working procedure https://www.newhavengardens.co.nz/newsletter/2020/4/29/covid-19-safe-working-procedure . These procedures will be updated once the guidelines are confirmed by the government, but will include contactless working, mask wearing, physical distancing between team members, and sanitising of tools and any gates, doorways etc which we come into contact with. Our safe working procedures will be updated on our website and sent to clients with booking confirmations as soon as we know the level 3 requirements.

We will have a lot of jobs to reschedule as soon as we are given the go-ahead that we can get back out there; but we will try to confirm new booking dates with everyone as soon as we can. With that in mind, if you are a regular client and feel your garden will need longer than the usual visit after such a long time, please can you pop a quick email through to Amanda. Conversely, if you’ve been braving the weather and getting stuck into the garden and wont need a visit for a while, again, please pop an email through to amanda@newhavengardens.co.nz to let us know.

Also a quick note on plant ordering, many of the nurseries are unable to take orders at present, with some even advising they will not be operational until level 2. Last year we found that the lockdown affected supply also as many growers were not able to tend to their plants during level 4. Hopefully this will be less of an issue now we all have more experience of level 4, but just a note that there may well be issues with supply of plants int he coming weeks.

On a more positive note, Amanda has been busy during lockdown updating the website. Click the photo below or head on over to https://www.newhavengardens.co.nz/meet-the-team to see the whole team and learn a little about us.

Or have a look at https://www.newhavengardens.co.nz/newhaven-recommends to see some of the fantastic companies and products we like to work with. There will be more updates to the website in the coming weeks.

Thank you so much for your support over the years, and for your understanding and patience through tricky times such as this, we really do appreciate your custom and sincerely hope this lockdown passes as swiftly and painlessly as possible for you.

Warm regards,
Amanda & the team at Newhaven Gardens.
